THE BALI DIARIES | SOMEWHERE.
So you walk the streets of Ubud, Bali and the beauty of the country aside, one thing screams out at you.
TRAVELLER FASHION. I mean, it's just that everyone dresses like they've walked out of a harreem pants advert. And well, that's fine, but I have this mental fashion rule in my head that goes like this:'Don't buy anything abroad that you wouldn't wear at home'And the thing is, I just wouldn't' wear hareem pants in the UK. I think it's really important to stay true to your own fashion sense and what you feel comfortable in. You don't need to follow the crowd and look like a typical tourist if you don't want to, because: Bali know their fashion guys. Of course there's nothing wrong with following the traveller trend, it's whatever you prefer, but there are definitely options to be explored. So when I walked past Somewhere Store on Hanoman Street in Ubud I let out a squeal of delight to Laura. Because: ALL THE GOOD CLOTHES.I picked up this maxi skirt and flannel shirt for less than £25 - this kind of outfit you'd expect to find in Urban Outfitters for treble the price - but it's just so cheap out there. It was super hot out there, so all of the fabrics are quite light weight, but I can wear these pieces come rain or shine, all over the world.Simplistic, affordable, stylish and current. Oh Bali, I do miss you.
